Does the Internet blur the lines of “legally owned”? Consider sites like YouTube and Wikipedia.
Yes, I believe that the internet blurs the lines of "legally owned". There are many sites that use copyrighted information such as music and allow users to download them. To most it is no big deal but to those who lose money because their albums are being downloaded freely it is a big deal. There are also sites such as Wikipedia that allows the public to contribute information without requirements to identify resources. I personally feel that when it comes to plagiarism everyone should give credit where it is due, someone else worked very hard to obtain the information and deserve the recognition for it.
